Slovenian museums and galleries moved their operations online during the COVID-19 epidemic and continued to successfully fulfill their mission, promote cultural heritage and maintain contact with their visitors and service users. Our job is to preserve the past through caring for our common heritage, while looking for ways to care for a better future by knowing the past. Despite the traditional role of "guardians of the past", museums today actively respond to social events and offer the public access to knowledge in the broadest sense of the word, while promoting equality, diversity and inclusiveness. For this reason, we are preparing a special week for art lovers, when we will address you together and convince you that museums and galleries are interesting and safe places for learning and entertainment. The event is held under the common name Forward to the Past. You can also follow the campaign on social media with the hashtag #naprejvpreteklost.
