Final guided tour of the exhibition with artist Boris Beja
Boris Beja / Lesson 45
UGM Studio, Trg Leona Štuklja 2
Saturday, 10 October 2020, 11:00

Boris Beja is one of the most successful visual artists of the younger generation in Slovenia. With his installations, he invites us into the poetic world of objects, music, drawing and moving images, and at the same time opens his own themes of awareness, meaning and transcendence of everyday life. In the final guide, Boris Beja will talk to the curator Simona Vidmar about his latest installation - Lesson 45, which premiered at UGM Studio.

About the project:
What Beja has “frozen” in his latest project is the motion image. What he has is perfection. Or as Beja dramatically writes: “Perfection is the charm of ballet. And the thought that movement is controlled up to the sensation of pain in every muscle of the body, which is stretched like a string, while creating the impression of lightness as if hovering in space following imaginary coordinates of a feather in vacuum." The still images created and masterfully handled by the artist reveal that it is the syntax of the language that interests him and dictates the form. The language or the way one speaks that language and with it approaches the ideal, is the artist's prime concern.

The guided tour will be implemented taking into account the recommendations and instructions of the NIPH. The number of participants in each management is limited to 10 people.

KINDLY INVITED!
