Maribor Art Gallery invites children along with parents, granddads, grandmas and friends to join our summer workshop, exhibition and social programme in order to spend amusing and entertaining summer holidays with us. Through play and creativity, there is an opportunity to come to know works from the exhibition Beautiful painting is behind us and test your artistic skills.
TUESDAY CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Every Tuesday, from 7-28 August 2012, 10.00–13.00
Young visitors can spend Tuesday mornings at UGM surrounded with art and invited to play and create. Children's workshops offer an entertaining introduction to visual art and stimulate their creativity. These creative workshops for children are led by the curator Brigita Strnad. Suitable for children from 4 years onwards.
Price of one creative workshop + snacks: 3,50 €
Price of all four creative workshops + snack: 10 €

PAINTING WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS
21, 22 and 23 August 2012, 17.00–20.00
led by: Barbara Jurkovšek, academic paintress
Paintress Barbara Jurkovšek, one of the participant artists at the exhibition Beautiful painting is behind us, will lead participants to the world of realistic figural motives.
Price of workshop: 25 € (all material included) / UGM Club members: 17,50 €

PAINTING WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN
21, 22 and 23 August, 17.00–20.00
Children will explore the world of versatile painting techniques and realistic figural motives. Academic painter Barbara Jurkovsek, one of the participants at the exhibition Beautiful painting is behind us will visit us. Creative workshop for children is led by the curator Brigita Strnad. Suitable for children from 5 years onwards. Price of workshop: 6 € (all material included) / Young UGM members: 4,20 €

PAINTING WORKSHOP AT MARIBOR PUPPET THEATRE
Saturday, 1 September 2012, 10.00–11.30
Young visitors are kindly invited to the workshop at Maribor Puppet theatre. Suitable for children from 4 years onwards. Free entry! No prior notice required!
EXHIBITION OF CHILDREN' S WORKS + PUPPET SHOW
Sunday, 2 September 2012, 11.00–12.30
All participants will present their works created during summer workshops at the exhibition. The creative summer at UGM will close with a puppet show in cooperation with Summer Puppet Pier by Maribor Puppet Theatre.
