In May, join us on walks through public monuments and other artistic traces in the City Districts of the Municipality of Maribor.
The urban space in front of the UGM itself draws attention to two works of art. The first is a work by Will Nettleship, created as part of the international sculpture symposium Forma Viva, and the second is a sculpture by Ivan Kozarić, installed during the Ecology and Art Triennial in 1992. We will continue our walk along Vrbanska cesta, where we will discover more examples of Forma Viva, see the monument to Prežihovemu Voranc and turn to the statue of Josip Primožič - Toš, near the Ljudski vrt stadium. We will finish in the area of the "Maribor Student Campus", where in front of the building of the three faculties we will meet portraits of four teachers - national heroes and admire the abstract sculpture by Dragice Čadež on the lawn.
Participation is free. In case of rain, the walk will be cancelled.
