Children, you are kindly invited to to explore the huge buildings of the former Maribor factory, in which some of your grandparents, great-grandparents also worked. We will peek around its corners and into huge halls. What were the grandparents doing here? Why was the factory important for the city of Maribor? Could it be restored? Why?
Invite grandparents to visit the workshop with you. Together, we will come up with ideas of what we could do in these buildings today and in the future - learn, have fun, explore or do something completely different.

A visit to the EKO 8 Triennial, A Letter for the Future, will be a great experience for children upon entering the complex of the former MTT factory. Even an exhibition where they will be able to see films, video works of art, sound installations and other works of art based on a multi-sensory experience will certainly motivate them in itself. We will deepen that first impression with the help of conversation, play and art tasks, through which children will deepen their understanding and experience of art and ecology. In the art workshop, children will create their own appeal and message for the future. We will experiment in mixing different techniques and ways of expression.

Holiday Workshop / Action - Making a Movie!

We invite children to a movie workshop. We will first visit the exhibition EKO 8 - A Letter for the Future. We will watch a movie, videos, installations and other works of art, where we will talk about ecology - our concern for the environment. The screening will be followed by a film workshop. The film will be a letter, our message for the future. Jakob Vogrinec, a student of the Secondary School of Design in Maribor, who has already received several awards for his films, will present the tools we need for filming. Then we will put together a script and action - we will make a movie.
